Saturday 30th October 2004
Cheshunt 1-5 Kingstonian
Kingstonian denied Cheshunt top spot whilst moving themselves off the bottom of the table with an sublime performance at the Theobalds Lane ground today.

Giles Coke got the K's off to a flying start with a rifled strike into the top corner in the second minute, and an equally fine effort from Martyn Lee some ten minutes later doubled the advantage before an Ahmet Rifat header made it three nil minutes later.

The home side pulled a goal back following a dubious penalty that was converted by Steve Wales, only for Mazin Ahmad to cap a mazy run with a deflected goal on the stroke of half time. Coke finished the scoring with twenty minutes remaining in the game when combining well with Phil Ruggles to double his tally with a decisive finish.

Mark Zawadski from Basingstoke Town enjoyed a comfortable debut in goal whilst Matt Pattison returned from a six week injury-enforced absence.

Kingstonian 3-4 Hendon
A goal-fest at a sodden Kingsmeadow saw Hendon take all three points following a second half comeback.

John Frendo had given the visitors an early lead before headed goals from Martyn Williams and James Rose gave K's a half time lead that was extended just after the break by a Martyn Lee strike. A quick response by Frendo was however later followed by breakaway goals from captain Mark Nicholls and Eugene Ofori.

K's Trust / Supporters' Club statement
The Kingstonian Supporters Club committee and the Ks Trust board met on Monday night at Kingsmeadow to consider the opinions expressed by supporters at last Thursday's open meeting. The meeting unanimously agreed that every last effort be made to get club chairman Rajesh Khosla and potential purchaser Jimmy Cochrane to honour the deal they brokered and shook hands on over a month ago.

It was agreed that they be approached to meet in front of a small delegation of supporters in order to overcome any differences which have arisen in recent weeks. The meeting agreed that the uncertainties surrounding the club have been badly damaging to its prospects both on and off the field and that a speedy resolution is essential to Kingstonian's future.

The meeting stressed that supporters did not wish to take the side of either protagonist. We are taking the side of the current financiers of the club - the supporters - who continue to come to Kingstonian through these difficult times and the supporters who have come to Kingstonian over many years.

Should the committees need to meet together again to pursue the best interests of Kingstonian FC, we will do so. And we will continue to report fully on our discussions.

Both sides had earlier in the half missed penalties, first K's Phil Ruggles saw his spot kick saved by Matt Lovett before Paul Ellis struck his effort wide.

Robert Wooldridge
Robert Wooldridge has decided to stand down from his many positions at the club. Best known as the K's programme editor and matchday announcer, Robert was the assistant club secretary and also held roles with the youth setup and supporters club too.

A decision first made at the end of last season, Robert was persuaded to stay on but after three years is now leaving the K's. Everybody at the club would like to extend their thanks to him for all his hard work and wish him all the very best for the future. His is certainly a face that will be missed at Kingsmeadow and we hope to see him back as our guest soon.
