Kingstonian Youth
The following has been released on behalf of the K's Trust board by Andrew Carberry:

The K's Trust will be bringing Kingstonian Youth back in-house and will be running and co-ordinating nine teams from the start of the 2004-05 season for boys at under 8, under 9, under 10, under 11, under 12, under 13, under 14, under 15 and under 16 level. The new scheme will be led by myself K's Trust Vice-Chairman Andrew Carberry, fellow K's Trust Board member Karen Deadman and former K's player Adrian Withers.

Adrian has eight years of experience with Kingstonian Youth, is an FA Level 2 certified coach who we are happy to announce has accepted the position of Football Director. We are also pleased to announce that the current assistant secretary, programme editor and former Reserve and Youth Team Secretary of Kingstonian FC Robert Wooldridge has accepted the position of Press and Publicity officer. What the new structure will mean is that teams who are not associated with the new structure will not be able to use the Kingstonian name from the 1st of August 2004.

Our aim is to provide FA graded coaches so we can offer high standards of Football to boys aged 8-16 years of age. We would like to invite all the current coaches, referees and managers of the current Kingstonian Youth to become a part of the new set-up and also would like to invite applications for the positions of treasurer, and secretary for the new scheme. Unfortunately the new Youth scheme will be run on a voluntary basis and unfortunately we will not be able to pay salaries to anyone who becomes involved.

We would also like to offer anybody else who would like to get involved and is not currently a coach or referee the opportunity to become part of the scheme, as well as FA graded coaches and referees who are not currently affiliated with Kingstonian. The deadline for applicants is Monday January 29th 2004 and all applications need to be sent in the form of a cv highlighting football experience to the following address: Kingstonian Youth 2004-05, The K's Trust, PO BOX 1258, Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 7WR.

We will subsequently be in contact within the first two weeks of February for meetings with suitable applicants. If you have any queries about this exciting development you can email myself at acarberry@yahoo.com or send your queries to the above address. The K's Trust is a democratic, not-for-profit organisation of supporters committed to strengthening the voice of supporters in the decision making process at Kingstonian Football Club as well as improving the links between the club and the local community it serves.

Andrew Carberry,
Vice-Chairman of the K's Trust
