James Rose
The club are pleased to announce the signing of striker James Rose (22) from Molesey. James is a familiar player to K's fans, following a couple of previous spells at the club in which he bagged 24 goals from 50 starts.

Manager Alan Dowson comments, "James has missed the club and shown a real desire to join us. We will reciprocate that hunger by giving him our full attention - he's had a year to forget but that doesn't turn you into a bad player. I want him to relax and enjoy his football again, and I can see him complementing Bobby Traynor and the other strikers at the club well.

Alan's flock of Swans
Following comments on the Walton & Hersham website and local press reports, Alan Dowson sets the record straight regarding former his contingent of former Swans players, "I've heard about how I am supposed to have raided Walton of a whole load of players but the truth is I've been picking them up from all over the place:

  • Bobby Traynor was without a club after the Walton manager Bobby Patterson released him
  • Wes Goggin joined from Ashford Town (middx)
  • Simon Sobihy joined from AFC Wimbledon/Chessington & Hook United
  • Neil Lampton joined from Staines Town/Banstead Athletic
  • Lee Riddell joined from Didcot Town
  • Simon Huckle joined from Met Police
  • Dave Francis joined from Bookham

That leaves just two players who I have signed straight from Walton - Danny Summers, who was coming through their youth ranks, and now Gavin Cartwright. The fact is that these are all very local players who have decided that Kingstonian is the club for them. In a couple of cases - Simon Sobihy and Neil Lampton - they were already Ks players in the first instance as youngsters."
