Francis Duku |
Defender Francis Duku has been released by mutual consent. Francis made 37 appearances for the club last season, and captained the side for much of it.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Francis was a big figure in the team, and his presence was more than just physical as he was also a great captain. We've had to do some rebuilding with new players at the back so we've decided it's best all round that he moves on. I think Dooks is ready for a player/coach role if he wants to go down that route and wish him all the best for the future." |

Dean Hamlin |
The club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Dean Hamlin (26) from Tooting & Mitcham United. Dean made 201 appearances for Tooting since joining the Terrors four years ago.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I've been after Dean for a while and am pleased to get hold of him as he's an excellent right back. We had problems in the full back positions last season so it's been a priority area to fix. This will allow us to push Matt Gray further up the pitch so again will help the balance and feel of the side." |

Tobi Jinadu |
The club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Tobi Jinadu (26) from Harrow Borough. Tobi made 28 appearances last season, scoring 5 goals, and was named supporters player of the year.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "It's taken a bit of time to get Tobi off Harrow but I'm very pleased to finally get it sorted as he's a big strong defender. The fact that he's got a good left foot, as well as [other new signing] Tom Bird is also a factor in settling the balance of our defence." |
Update from Alan Dowson |
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "A lot of us have taken the chance to go away recently, and it was no different for me. The family sorted out a week away with just the missus, though I didn't even know where we were going!
"Something I find when talking to transfer targets is that the experienced ones often want a coaching role too. I'm sure many of them will go on to do well too, but it's not something that interests me as in Mark Hams I've got the best coach around. Hamsey is always working on how we can get better as individuals and as a team and I think it's very exciting that he will be leading our new academy.
"Whilst I was away we were involved in a promotional event at The Bentall Centre over the weekend. Rob Tolfrey and Simon Huckle represented us brilliantly from what I hear and I'm not surprised as they're great lads. We'll be out and about in the community again over the summer as it's important to be involved." |

Kingstonian Academy update |
Kingstonian FC are putting in place an academy programme for 16-19 year olds who want to combine their education with football. The 2 year level 3 NVQ course in football coaching, which is equivalent to 2 A levels, will be run at Glyn school in Epsom.
The students will receive 6-8 hours of elite A Licence football coaching per week, will compete in the Football Conference Youth Alliance League and also receive their education in the classroom. Students who have already arranged further education in September CAN COMBINE that with this programme.
Any 16-19 year olds unsure of what they want to do but are keen on football and want to further their education are welcome to attend the open evening with their parents on Thursday 1st July at Kingsmeadow Athletic Stadium, Jack Goodchild Way, Kingston at 7pm.
There will also be further trials at Priest Hill playing fields, Reigate Road on Sunday 18th July and Sunday 25th July, both at 1pm. For more information please contact Lewis Field on 0845 644 5747 or Mark Hams at ksglynacademy@aol.com |

Jon Boardman |
The club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Jon Boardman (29) from Woking. Jon joined Woking from Crystal Palace in 2002, where after 133 appearances he moved into the Football League with Rochdale and then Dagenham and Redbridge, before spending last season back with the Cards. Jon has been capped by the England semi-pro national team (England C).
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I'm pleased to be able to bring a top defender like Jon to the club. He's played at a good level for all of his career and that extra quality and experience should prove valuable to the heart of our defence." |
Update from Alan Dowson |
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I've been busy meeting players as we look to have the strongest squad possible for next season. It can be tough though as these days players often prefer to send a text message, where I am used to doing business face to face. It was therefore very refreshing to meet with Jon Boardman three times in person before we did our deal.
I'm hoping to bring another two or three players in before we start pre-season training in a few weeks. We have made an offer to one of them - another defender - and we hope to tie that up over the coming week." |

Tom Bird |
The club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Tom Bird (21) from Fleet Town. Tom made 115 appearances for Fleet over the past two years and picked up a supporters player of the year award in that time. He has also previously appeared for Basingstoke Town as well as spending time with Chelsea following a successful string of displays in Sky TV's Football Icon show.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "We needed a left back and Tom is one of the best in the league. He did a good job on Lodgey when we played there and Andy Sinton (now at Telford) speaks very highly of him. He's got a bit of skill about him and is tough in the tackle." |

Update |
Manager Alan Dowson has been stranded - not by volcanic ash, but by a car failure in the North East! So whilst he's still plotting for next season, that does mean he's not currently able to physically attend to sign a couple of new players who have been lined up.
Meanwhile, K's Web is just catching up after holidays so other updates will resume shortly. |
