Kingstonian 0-3 Concord Rangers
Newly promoted Concord Rangers made the most of a lacklustre K's performance to win by three goals to nil at a freezing Kingsmeadow.
The visitors took an early lead when an unmarked Gary Ogilvie struck in the 6th minute. With little further action in the first half, it was five minutes after the break that Concord added a second, through Tony Stokes.
Rob Tolfrey kept the scores as they were when saving his second penalty of the week, though could do little when Tony Stokes tucked away a third in the 72nd minute. At the other end, K's only chance of note saw Sam Clayton denied a penalty when brought down by visiting goalkeeper Dale Brightly - making it three months without a penalty award.
Manager Alan Dowson commented after the game that it is now "time for action, not words".
A 72nd minute penalty by Gary Noel proved enough to separate the two sides at Kingsmeadow, though the former K's striker had to follow up to convert the rebound after his initial spot kick had been saved by Rob Tolfrey. A last minute Bobby Traynor strike was well saved by Craig Ross at the other end to secure the result.
The Supporters Club are pleased to announced that following the successful sponsorship of all horses and races, tomorrow's Race Night will now be free admission. Anyone who has already purchased a ticket will be able to claim a refund from John Fenwick tomorrow.
The event starts at 8pm and is taking place at a new venue - East Molesey Royal British Legion (4 St Mary's Road, East Molesey, KT8 0ST). The facilities include a good bar with cheap drinks, and friendly members who will join in the fun. All proceeds go directly to Kingstonian Supporters Club.
Defender Tobi Jinadu has left the club by mutual consent. Tobi made 30 appearances for the club since joining in the summer.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Tobi's done a good job for us but with Gary MacDonald and Max Hustwick returning we've got a full complement of defenders and had to let one go. Good luck to him for the future."
The club is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Antonio Gonnella from Folkestone Invicta. Antonio is a former Millwall youth team player who has played for Fisher Athletic and Hastings United. He has appeared for Maidstone United and, briefly, Folkestone Invicta this season.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "We got Antonio in just before Tuesday's match to give us a bit of guile that we've been missing in the wide positions."
A dramatic stoppage time goal from the returning Gary MacDonald secured all three points for Kingstonian at a sodden Homelands.
Sam Clayton finished off a slick move with his first goal for the club to give K's a 34th minute lead. Lively debutant Antonio Gonnella went close to adding to the lead but the hosts, having sent on experienced strikers Danny Hockton and Jimmy Dryden, clawed back the score with around ten minutes remaining. Both sides pushed for the winning goal, and ultimately it was MacDonald to the rescue with his second stoppage time winner of the season.
Kingstonian will be at home to Molesey in the First Round of the Isthmian Veterans Cup, with the winners away to Walton Casuals or Metropolitan Police.
The game is to be played before 20th February and a date/venue will be announced shortly.

K's were denied two first half penalty claims following handball incidents, as well as being denied by the post and linesman's flag.
The club is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder/striker Ivailo Dimitrov (22). Ivailo is a former Brentford youth team player who has played in this league before with Hendon, as well as in the Bulgarian top division with Vihren Sandanski. He has been with Maidenhead United and Hayes & Yeading United this year.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Ivailo has done well in training and the friendly at Sandhurst so we'll be looking to give him a chance."
The club is pleased to announce the loan signing of midfielder Reece Jones (18) from AFC Wimbledon. Reece is a current Wales U19 international, and is a former Fulham youth team captain.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Reece is a talented all-round midfielder who is looking to get some more matches under his belt. We've got a few gaps in the middle with Bash Alimi injured and Mo Harkin recovering from an injury picked up at Walton."
Winger Dean Lodge and midfieder Jean-Sylvain Dossou are both registered with the club in the Isthmian League, but have also signed on 'dual registration' for Bromley and Lewes respectively in the Conference League this week.

Ten-man Kingstonian drew one-all with Bury Town, and thus none of the top four sides registered a win over the weekend.
Bobby Traynor opened the scoring just before the half hour mark following some sharp play by Allan Tait. The lead came under pressure early in the second half following a hotly contested 'professional foul' decision against Dean Hamlin, and Lee Reed struck the equaliser just after the hour mark. Neither side was thereafter able to find the decisive breakthrough and the points were duly shared.
The club is delighted that defender Jamie Summers has been selected to represent England U18 Schools in 2011. The club is also very proud of goalkeeper Matt Amis, who has been involved up until the final trials at Lilleshall last week.
The first gathering of the eighteen-man England squad will be a the end of the month, when they take on Loughborough University at Lilleshall, before a training camp in Malaga where the opposition will be provided by the academy of CF Malaga.
The international season then gets under way in the spring with the Under 18'a Centenary Shield against Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland. The latter two matches are scheduled for live coverage on Sky Sports.
Jamie is a student at Glyn Technology School - partners in the Kingstonian Academy - and has been an outstanding member of the Kingstonian Under 18's team for three seasons. His older brother Danny is a former Kingstonian player at both youth and senior level who is currently on a university scholarship in the United States.
Kingstonian followed up Saturday's win with a two-nil victory over Aveley, courtesy of goals from Bobby Traynor and Matt Gray in the final ten minutes. Allan Tait had earlier struck the post, before seeing a fine lob strike the crossbar.
Midfielder Tom Bolorinwa has left the club by mutual consent, to join Croydon Athletic.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Tom needs to be playing more often and so will be going back to Croydon. We'll be keeping an eye on his progress whilst there."
Sandhurst and Kingstonian, celebrating their 100th and 125th birthdays respectively, played an entertaining match at an increasingly misty Crown Meadow last night which finished three-one to the K's.
Ell Dimitrov opened the scoring for Kingstonian in the 5th minute, before fellow trialist Kane Kayan added a second midway through the half. A thunderbolt from Lee Hall into the top corner made it three going in to half time. The hosts, having been superbly denied by Nic Taylor earlier, pulled a goal back in the 75th minute.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I'm very pleased with the game. They've got a nice setup at Sandhurst and I was impressed with their young manager Dean Thomas and the way he motivated his players.
"Young George Peterken took a hefty knock to his face right at the end of the game but fortunately he's ok. I've known the lad since he was a kid and if anything I'd say he was happy to go down because (in Jamie's absence) their physio was a fine-looking lass! They liked the look of him too so we'll send him there to get a few games."
Lineup:
1) Nic Taylor 2) Tom Duffy 3) A Trialist 4) Tobi Jinadu 5) Lee Hall 6) Jean-Sylvain Dossou 7) Sam Clayton 8) George Peterken 9) Kane Kayan 10) Tom Bolorinwa 11) Ivailo Dimitrov
