    Ryman Veterans Cup winners
The Kingstonian Vets, led by player/manager Eddie Akuamoah, retained their Ryman Veterans Cup title following a four-one win over Middlesex Wanderers at Enfield Town.

Whilst the headlines would probably go to Tony Reid and his magnificent four-goal performance, the whole squad put in a huge performance against probably their strongest opposition to date. Middlesex Wanderers were led by renowned former Enfield manager Eddie McClusky and included the likes of Nicky Ironton, Steve Ward, Lee Protheroe, Adam Parker, Miguel de Souza, Paul Cobb, Paul Williams, Steve Portway and Gary Abbott in the side.

A frantic first ten minutes saw the teams level at one-all. Tony Reid scored in the third minute with a stunning volley from a tight angle before Lee Protheroe equalised just four minutes later. Reid broke clear, however, to double his tally in the 25th minute.

Wanderers exerted a lot of pressure in the early stages of the second half, but the K's defence held firm, whilst goalkeeper Andre Forrester was called into action to make a fine low save. The decisive goal followed in the 64th minute when a Carl Bartley header allowed Reid to sprint clear, round the goalkeeper and finish. Reid completed the scoring in the 82nd minute with his and Kingstonian's fourth of the game.
