Spurs XI game announced
The club is pleased to announce that Tottenham Hotspur are the third Premiership club to commit a team to face the K's in a friendly match at Kingsmeadow, thus completing the pre-season schedule.

This will be only the second time the K's have ever faced a Spurs XI in a friendly - the other occasion being Dave Leworthy's testimonial in 2000, a game in which he scored the winning goal against his former club in front of 1,500 people. This match will be played on Monday 16th July.

Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I would like to thank the chairman and directors for their patience and support as we put our plans together this summer. I would particularly like to thank Martin Tyler for pulling a lot of strings, and Gerry Petit for his tireless work in organising everything we do. We were 50/50 with what we could do with this one and are grateful to Tim Sherwood for agreeing to send a side down before they head abroad, and AFC Wimbledon for supporting Malcolm Winwright's request yesterday to fit this fixture in at short notice.

This Saturday sees an early start for the K's in their pre-season campaign, with a double-header against Sussex League side Dorking Wanderers. Admission will be £5 for adults and free for juniors, and there will be a BBQ and bar facilities available at their Westhumble ground.

This is a first chance to find out who some of the new players lined up for the season are. There will be a number of trialists and youngsters in action, mainly in the early kick off at 1pm, whilst most of the senior players will be involved in the second game at 3pm.

Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Dorking are a great club who are going places, reflected by the number of promotions they've had since they were formed in 1999 to get to where they are now. We forged some good links with them last season, sending a number of our youngsters there to gain experience, and we look forward to building on that."

Chelsea XI and Fulham XI games announced
The club is pleased to announce that European champions Chelsea and fellow Premiership club Fulham will be sending sides to face the K's this pre-season.

This is the first time that a game has been arranged against a Chelsea XI since their reserves were based at Kingsmeadow from 1992-2000 - a deal which saw their first team face the K's each summer. Current manager Roberto Di Matteo made his first Chelsea appearance against the K's in one of those fixtures. This match will be played the week before the season starts, on Saturday 11th August.

K's have faced a Fulham XI on four occasions since, including a one-nil win in 2005, but an eight-nil defeat in 2008 against an experienced side captained by Clint Dempsey. This match will be played on Friday 27th July, and there will be an Olympic theme in the clubhouse to mark the launch of the games on our doorstep.
