This will be only the second time the K's have ever faced a Spurs XI in a friendly - the other occasion being Dave Leworthy's testimonial in 2000, a game in which he scored the winning goal against his former club in front of 1,500 people. This match will be played on Monday 16th July.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I would like to thank the chairman and directors for their patience and support as we put our plans together this summer. I would particularly like to thank Martin Tyler for pulling a lot of strings, and Gerry Petit for his tireless work in organising everything we do. We were 50/50 with what we could do with this one and are grateful to Tim Sherwood for agreeing to send a side down before they head abroad, and AFC Wimbledon for supporting Malcolm Winwright's request yesterday to fit this fixture in at short notice.
Following consultation the Board have decided to reduce admission prices for all three home friendlies, against teams from Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Chelsea.
Admission prices will be as follows - Adults £7, Concessions £4, Students £2 and Juniors (under 16) free.
