New website at www.kingstonian.com
Kingstonian Football Club is pleased to launch its new official website at www.kingstonian.com. This website is now closed.
The K's are proud to have been one of the early non-league adopters of the internet, with the first version of the long-running "K's Web" (www.kingstonian.net) site launched in 1998. This was to become the Club's official website in 2001, and a couple of redesigns on, it has continued to serve supporters from near and afar to the present day. The site has however been in need of a complete rebuild, and so the opportunity was taken to make the move. A scaled down version of the site will remain online for archive purposes at www.kingstonian.net, though it will no longer be updated.
The Club is extremely grateful to the webmasters - initially Jon Tolley, followed by Gary Ekins and Ali Kazemi - for their work over the years, as well as all of the other people who have contributed to the site. The new site has been put together by Ali, who will continue to run it, but there will also be a handful of other people from across the club looking after individual sections, such as the new academy pages.
Supporters are encouraged to update their bookmarks to www.kingstonian.com and to sign up as members of the new website to benefit from some of its new features:
Striker Allan Tait has left the club by mutual consent to join Met Police.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "With the number of strikers we've got on our books it was going to be difficult for Allan to get back in to the team. He's put a lot of hard work in for us and is a great character so I wish him all the best."
Kingstonian avoided falling to Southern League newcomers in the FA Cup for a second consecutive season, defeating Guildford City three goals to nil.
Craig Mullen opened the scoring in the fifth minute, but following a series of chances it wasnt until the hour mark until the second followed up as Matt Pattison struck low into the bottom corner. Mullen was on hand to complete the scoring with his second of the game in the 71st minute.
The Ryman League Statistical Review 2011/12 has now been published. It includes all the results, goalscorers and attendances of league, Alan Boon Cup, Youth League, Lucas Fettes Youth Cup, Veterans Cup, Womens Cup, FA Cup, FA Trophy and County Senior Cups of each member club with listed player appearances for league matches including regular playing position. An index of players in alphabetical format is also included.
This booklet is available at £6.00, plus £1.20p (1st) or £1.10p (2nd) postage & packing, each from Mike Wilson, Ryman Football League Statistician, 71 Elm Road, Slade Green, Kent, DA8 2NN.
Kingstonian scored three for the third game in a row, dispatching Leiston by three goals to nil at Kingsmeadow.
Aaron Goode opened the scoring on 14 minutes and Wade Small added another just after the half-hour. Gareth Heath reduced the arrears three minutes after the break but Matt Pattison drilled home a free-kick five minutes later to restore the two-goal margin.
The Kingstonian management team will certainly stand out from their playing squad at training sessions this season thanks to a sponsorship deal with Admiral Scaffolding Limited who have generously arranged for a supply of full training equipment, both winter and spring wear from the Ryman League's technical partner Macron, for manager Alan Dowson and his complete backroom team.
It was Admiral who sponsored the attractive Ks pre-season itinerary and their spokesman Adrian Withers commented, "There are so many opportunities for local businesses to be part of Kingstonian FC and for us it is a pleasure to be able to contribute."
