A commanding centre forward who started as a youngster at Kingstonian before moving to the Irish League with Mullingar Town before being picked up by Brighton and Hove Albion in 2003. Following a successful loan spell at Crawley Town, he signed for Cambridge City before moving via Fisher Athletic to Newport County in 2004. Carl moved back down to the south coast with Havant and Waterlooville and then Eastleigh before appearing for Maidenhead United. Made a big impact in his first season as a senior Kingstonian player, collecting a clean sweep of awards at the end of season awards in 2008/09.
