SUCCESS BREWING AT KINGSMEADOW |
The following is an official press release from Kingstonian F.C: SUCCESS BREWING AT KINGSMEADOW Kingstonian Football Club today announced the biggest sponsorship in the Club's history.
Grolsch, the UK's fastest growing premium lager supplied by Bass Brewers, has confirmed that it will renew its sponsorship of Kingstonian for the 2000/2001 season.
The new deal means significantly more money for the K's and extends the future involvement of Bass Brewers with the Club. Under the sponsorship deal, worth in excess of 30,000 to the K's, Bass Brewers will increase its corporate hospitality activity at Kingsmeadow and the East Stand will now be called the Grolsch Stand.
Bass Brewers Account Manager, Jonathon Swaine said, "Our first year at Kingstonian was a learning curve for all parties, but we are very pleased with the partnership that has now been developed. We've particularly enjoyed supporting the Club at Kingsmeadow and Wembley, and with K's new Board of Directors, the Club is going from strength to strength. Grolsch is also gaining huge support from the football fans, with sales exceeding expectations by 85%".
Kingstonian Director Malcolm Grant, who negotiated the new deal, sees it as an important part of the Club's future, "Furthering our partnership with Bass enhances our marketing programme and provides us with the status of an international brand name on our players' shirts. This deal is better than that achieved by many Third Division clubs and demonstrates Bass's commitment to the K's. This deal, together with Geoff and his team and the planned ground development, now makes the K's ready for the Nationwide Football League". |
