Tomorrow's match - IMPORTANT |
After a decision from the Football Association, Kingstonian will tomorrow play Lewes away (note away, not at Harrow Borough) and NOT St Albans City. The correct interpretation of the play-offs, as carried out by the Doc Martens and Unibond Leagues, was not followed by the Ryman League who did not correctly interpret the original instructions from the Alliance Committee.
The club obviously apologises to all supporters for the confusion and will be in touch with the Ryman League in the very near future.
To confirm, tomorrow's Isthmian League play-off matches are:
Lewes v Kingstonian Bedford Town v St Albans City |
Supporters' Club coach to Harrow |
Please note that the Supporters' Club coach to Harrow will leave at 12:30. It will leave from OUTSIDE the ground, as AFC Wimbledon are playing at Kingsmeadow tomorrow. |

Isthmian League play-off - update |
Saturday's match will be played at Harrow Borough with a 3pm kick-off. Some assistance may be required on the day - if you are available please email Graham Richards at g.richards@virgin.net. |
Isthmian League play-off |
Club Secretary Graham Richards has just confirmed that K's will actually be playing St Albans City in the play-off on Saturday. The match will be played at a neutral venue as Kingsmeadow is unavailable and the league have refused permission for the match to be moved to Friday evening.
At this time the venue cannot be confirmed. |
K's v St Albans - Supporters' Club coach |
The Supporters' Club will be running a coach to Harrow on Saturday. It will leave from outside Kingsmeadow, on Kingston Road, at 12.30 to avoid the expected crowds at the football ground. The cost will be £8 adults and £5 concessions. To book places please phone Tim Wells on 020 8942 9830 as soon as possible. |
Kim Harris Interview on Clubcall |
On the official Ryman League Clubcall line tooday (until the weekend), we speak to Kingstonian boss Kim Harris to look forward to the play-off final and also to talk about the club's off the field problems. The interview can be heard by telephoning 09066 555 777 - calls cost 60p per minute. |
Wednesday 5th May 2004 |
Harrow Borough 0-0 Kingstonian (2-4 on penalties) |
Kingstonian progressed to the final of the Isthmian League Play-offs this evening after a dour nil-nil draw was ended with a shoot-out. Craig Lewington, Mark Beard and Stafford Browne scored, with Lance Key saving two Harrow penalties to put K's 3-1 up. Grant Payne then hit the bar with what could have been the winner, but Scott Steele made sure with the fifth and final penalty.
K's now play Lewes at home, but the day/time of this match has not yet been decided. The club hope to announce the details of this match some time tomorrow morning and we will of course bring you that information as soon as it is made available. |
Tuesday 4th May 2004 |
Kingstonian FC Limited |
Mr Khosla tonight confirmed that he has withdrawn his offer to sell Kingstonian FC Limited and its associated liabilities to The K's Trust for a pound. He stated that his main reason for doing so was that the Trust refused to pay the Kingstonian players until a legally binding contract was signed.
The Trust is obviously disappointed by this decision and will meet in the near future to decide its next course of action. In accepting Mr Khosla's decision, the Trust would like to thank all of the K's supporters for their support over the past twelve months. Since the formation of the Trust in April 2003, just under £8000 has been given to the Limited Company, with Trust Board Members and other volunteers also giving up countless hours to help run the football club.
Mr Khosla tonight also informed Gary Ekins (formerly Press Officer) that he may no longer speak on behalf of the club until the Chairman and he have met. |
