Manager Alan Dowson comments, "I don't know what I'd do without him. He's one of the best people you could meet and a fantastic coach. He's away for two weeks - I don't know what to do so I suppose I'll have to spend some more time with the missus..." |

Defender Simon Sobihy (30) has decided to retire from playing, following a series of injury problems.
Manager Alan Dowse comments, "Speedo was one of the top three players that I had with me over the last four years of management. He never gave less than 100% in any game and we are both desperately sad that his injury problems have caused him to hang up his boots." |

Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Max is pound-for-pound one of the best defenders in the Ryman League and we're really pleased to have got him as there's been interest from clubs higher up in the pyramid." |
Bobby Traynor and Tommy Williams |
The club are pleased to announce that Bobby Traynor and Tommy Williams have put pen to paper and will be playing for the K's in 2008/09.
Manager Alan Dowson adds, "Bobby has begun a fitness regime this summer in order to lose a little weight and to get back to the full fitness that he lost when he got injured early last season. We're obviously very satisfied that both he and Tommy Williams have committed to us for next season." |

Leatherhead U18 1-2 Kingstonian U18 |
Kingstonian under 18's finished their season with a fine two-one win at title contenders Leatherhead last night.
K's took the lead seven minutes before the break when Craig Mullen's shot just outside the six yard box was successful. Ninety seconds into the second half Joel Fontana equalised for the home side heading home a free kick, but nine minutes before the end Mullen scored the winner with a tremendous shot just inside the penalty area.
The side are to finish 4th in the Ryman Youth League, with a record of 13 wins, 4 draws and 7 defeats from 24 matches. Meanwhile, Craig Mullen is the joint leading goalscorer with just a handful of fixtures remaining. |

Gavin Cartwright |
Defender Gavin Cartwright has left the club by mutual consent. Gavin made 37 appearances for the club, having joined last summer.
Alan Dowson comments, "Gavin's got extra work commitments which means he won't be able to commit himself as much as before in his football. He's done a job for us in a couple of positions and is a really nice guy - the sort I'd be happy for my daughter to come home with when she's older. Though knowing my luck it'll more likely be someone like Stevie Goddard! I'll keep in touch with Gav and wish him all the best." |

Staff 5-4 Supporters |
The staff beat the supporters team by five goals to four in the annual game yesterday. Having missed a first half penalty the staff team, featuring a rugged Alan Dowson in the backline, found themselves two-one down at half time.
The supporters, adding late addition Julian Sills to their team, extended their lead to four-one before the staff, inspired by Mark Hams and the pacy Dave Francis, pulled off a major comeback with four goals in the last twenty minutes to steal the honours.
Staff player/manager Alan Dowson commented, "We've had great backing from the supporters over the season so we thought we'd reward that by going easy on them. But I'm a winner and thought I'd show the players how it's done by going out there and doing it myself. We sucked them forward and hit them hard on the counter attack. It worked a treat and I'm chuffed with the result."
Supporters joint-managers Andy Clarke and Simon Bell were unavailable for comment after the game. |

Simon Huckle |
The club are pleased to announce that Simon Huckle has agreed terms for next season, following Tommy Williams last week. Luke Garrard and Rob Sheridan have existing deals that continue.
Manager Alan Dowson comments, "Simon has had a great season and is a smashing lad who's never given me any trouble. I'm always talking with our players, and am meeting a couple of targets over the next week or so. One thing which is certain is that, unlike reports in one of the local papers, I won't be filling my team with AFC Wimbledon players." |
