Hendon 2-1 Kingstonian
Kingstonian's FA Cup run came to a dramatic end within the shadows of Wembley Stadium, conceding a last minute penalty which sent hosts Hendon through to the next round.

Carl-Wilson Denis had put the K's ahead in the 16th minute, whilst John Fletcher and Wilson-Denis himself were denied further goals by the linesman's flag.

Hendon rallied strongly in the second half and got a deserved equaliser on the hour mark through Casey MacLaren. With the tie seemingly destined for a replay, a rash challenge by Fletcher gave the hosts a 90th minute spot kick that was duly converted by Harry Hunt to complete a turnaround for the Dons.

Bobby Traynor - FA Cup player of the round
Striker Bobby Traynor has been voted E.ON Player of the Round following his FA Cup 1st qualifying round hat-trick against Bognor Regis Town, and will be awarded a trophy as well as a VIP trip to the FA Cup Final on 15th May.

He had been shortlisted for the award by a panel including Mark Clemmit (Radio Five Live), Howard Wheatcroft (Daily Star), Ricky George (Daily Telegraph), Andy Townsend (ITV) and Graham Bartlett (E.ON Managing Director) before earning "one of the highest figures ever received at the this stage of the competition" in the public vote on the Football Association website.

K's manager Alan Dowson comments, "I'm absolutely delighted for Bobby as he richly deserves this and also the club as it's the second such award in two years (following Dean Lodge).

"Knowing Bobby he'll probably be trying to flog the tickets now as we speak! In all seriousness, he was my very first signing at this club and probably the best signing I'll ever make."

Bobby Traynor himself is thrilled by the award and has expressed his thanks to everyone who voted for him.

John Fletcher and Joel Legister
The club are pleased to announce the signing of defender John Fletcher (22) and midfielder/striker Joel Legister (21). John came through the ranks at QPR and has been playing in the USA, whilst Joel started at Southend and has Conference National experience with Oxford United and Woking.

"We're keeping the squad quite big at the moment as we'll be busy with both the FA Cup and FA Trophy coming up as well as the league games. Some people may assume that we're throwing money at new signings but that is far from the case as we've been bringing in good players but players who just want to play for the shirt."
